If you're unable to download from the shared link, please check the followings:
Is your network connection stable? Rakuten Drive is an internet-based service, so you may have difficulty downloading depending on your network conditions. Please check your router, cables, modem, firewall, VPN, and ensure you're connected to the internet before attempting to download.
- Check your cables and restart the router, modem, or other network devices you're using, then reconnect to the internet.
- Make sure that your firewall or antivirus program allows access to rakuten-drive.com in the configured network.
- If you're using a VPN or proxy server, check with your network administrator if it's functioning correctly or consider disabling it.
Has the shared link expired? By default, shared links are valid for 48 hours, but Rakuten Drive Pro, Business, Advanced customers can set the validity period up to 30 days. When a shared link expires, it is automatically deleted from the server for security reasons. You'll need to create a new link for the files.
Has the shared link been deleted? Even if it hasn't expired, the shared link will immediately expire if the link creator deletes it. You'll need to create a new link or request a new link from the link creator.
Is the shared link restricted for downloads and shares? Shared links that generate excessive traffic are restricted. Restricted shared links are no longer available for download by anyone except the link creator. You'll need to create a new link or request a new link from the link creator.
Have the files been fully uploaded to the shared link? If the files haven't been fully uploaded to the shared link, recipients won't be able to complete the download. You'll need to generate a new link or request a new link from the creator. The message "Link has been sent successfully" should be displayed—instead of "Uploading 100%"—to indicate that the files have been fully uploaded and the shared link has been created successfully.
Is the shared link subject to a daily traffic limit? User accounts generating excessive traffic are subject to usage restrictions. You won't be able to download from any shared links created by a user account with a daily traffic limit. Usage restrictions are temporary and reset daily at 9:00 AM (GMT+9) in Korea time. Please try downloading again after the reset.
Are you entering the correct password? For secure file transfers, a password can be set for the shared link. If you enter the password incorrectly, the download won't be possible. You'll need to request a password reset from the link creator.
Is the shared link opening normally in your web browser? If you click the shared link but the download page doesn't open normally, there may be an issue with your web browser. Try clearing cookies and cache files, reopen your browser, or try opening the shared link in incognito/private mode. We highly recommend using Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Naver Whale, or Mozilla Firefox browsers.
Is the shared link prohibited? Sharing files that violate Rakuten Drive's service terms, such as spam, malware, illegal adult content, or unauthorized copyrighted material, is strictly prohibited. Users agree not to misuse Rakuten Drive or assist others in abusing the service. Rakuten Drive Team actively monitors and strictly manages such violations, and any links sharing illegal content are immediately deleted without prior notice.
Sharing files on Rakuten Drive implies that files do not violate Rakuten Drive service terms and conditions and that you either own all the copyrights to the files or have obtained permission from the copyright holders to share them. So, you are fully responsible for all files shared on Rakuten Drive.
Is the shared link still not working? If you're still experiencing issues with the shared link, contact the person who created the shared link, or if you're the creator, contact our Support Team with the exact shared link.
